Why they cost what they cost

  • Essential oils, not fragrance oils

    Most candles are scented with synthetic fragrance because it is cheaper and throws harder. We distil from plants instead. What fills the room is also what fills your lungs.

  • Poured by hand, in small batches

    Every candle is made here in Egypt, a few dozen at a time. No two salt vessels are the same shape, and we would not want them to be.

    How we make them 

  • A vessel with a second life

    Handmade glass, pottery and salt crystal, packed in recycled craft cardboard. When the wax is finished, the object is not.
